Scott, I was the same way with our PT40 purchase. Just like you guys, I was
one of the presidents of the 2 bird club.

Well, I am giddy with anticipation....
Tomorrow morning, I fly up to pick up my new bus, an '86 PT38. I feel
like a kid on the day before the trip to Disney Land.

I love my FC, so I hope I don't have misplaced excitement about the new
one...after all, it was a big difference in price. But I have spoken
to a few folks who have owned both, and they tell me to expect to be
impressed...so I am. I am really looking forward to "learning" a new
model. Wish me luck!

Well, I am giddy with anticipation....
Hello Dan, nice to hear from you.

It's an 86 PT38 8V92 blue, silver, gray. Many folks here have seen
the coach advertised I'm sure, it's been on VintageBirds, Bird
Connection, eBay, etc for quite some time. The seller's initial
asking price was, um...outside of the market. But as time went on,
he got down to a price I could be comfortable with, so I snatched it
up...I didn;t get a "deal", but I paid what it's worth to me. It's a
fine coach, recently repainted in the classic Bird colors, and the
seller seems to be pretty vigilant with care and maintenance. I am
looking forward to my 750 mile drive home to get comfortable wth the
coach.

Give me a call next time you are coming to town, you can come see
it. By the way...since you sold your FC, want another one? I
believe you are the only forum member who has actually seen it in the
flesh.

Scott
