Where to get insurance
Where are current Wanderloge owners getting insurance? I tried GMAC
thru Good Sams but they declined because of "Underwriting Guidlines".
I am guessing the rig is to old. Any suggestions wouold be appreciated.

Where to get insurance
Troy,

I would ask GMAC to fully explain exactly which one of
their "Underwriting Guidlines" that they are talking about, as they are
currently the insurer of my '82 35FCRB 'Bird and I also have all of the
rest of my vehicles, with the exception of my motorcycle, insured
through them, including a 1966 pusher bus conversion that I still own.
I'm suspecting that it is something other than the age of your 'Bird. I
have used them, through the Good Sam Club, as an insurer for over
fifteen years now.

Where to get insurance
Troy--

Have no fear--your rig is not too old to insure! On our '83 rig, we got a very
good deal through State Farm Insurance. Stew's asleep right now, but more
details when he wakes up in the mornin'!

P.S. Ernie and moderators--please see my earlier 5/2/05 response to the thread
"Back to towing"--this is just one instance of why I think an "insurance"
database--some sort of reference table we could all fill out--would be quite
useful to forum members--both owners and wannabe's..

Where to get insurance
Troy, I also have State Farm. Under $250.00 a year as a 5th vehicle, no
collision. They also insure a road tractor, house and rental property
for me with reasonable rates. We have had them for close to 20 years.
Very flexible and accommodating. I am sure that number would change if
you told them you were driving your bus daily as primary
transportation.

Where to get insurance
Troy,
As mentionned in an earlier Post, I just changed from the Foremost
Group to Progressive.
Got the Quote from Aon Recreation Insurace 800 521 2942
Was able to double the Limits at less premium.
Include Road side assistance and Mexico Physical Damage Coverage.
Limits 250/500/100 Comp/Coll. with 250 Deductible in NH for $566 for
a 83FC35
Good luck
