Pressure Pro question on locks
I received the pressure pro in the mail yesterday, but have not
installed it yet. I did not order locks for the sensors, but may order some in the near future. Will they be difficult to fit on the rear duals? Did anyone order the locks and install them and can you comment on what you thhink of adding them? I am considering ordering at least 4 for the tow car, and perhaps 2 for the front wheels on the bird. Comments? Thanks Dan 94 BB BMC 37' NM --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, > > > To all who purchased the Pressure Pro System. > Most folks have problems with the inside dual stems being too short. For safety reasons you are advised not to use valve extenders. You may want to check out the 10" stems for the inside dual and the short stems for the outside dual offered by Borg Equipment & Supply. www dot borgtiresupply dot com. I installed the stems on my coach yesterday and now await delivery of my Pressure Pro System. I have no financial interest in Borg Supply. > Howard Truitt > Camilla, Ga. > 86 PT40 > > > > > > From: "Al" > > Date: 2007/05/25 Fri AM 10:12:00 EDT > > To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com > > Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Re: Pressure Pro arrived and installed > > > > Paul, > > I have not received mine yet but I am drooling. Pressure Pro question on locks
Dan,
I am headed to my office today so maybe I have a package on my desk. I did not order locks either. I believe you really don't need them. If someone wants to steal the sensors, they would have to already have the system. I say save the money and invest in a good margarita. Pressure Pro question on locks
The PP locks are not really locks. There are 2 styles. One is simply
a thin nut and a thin wrench. You tighten the nut to the sensor. This would keep little kids from taking your sensosrs but not the CG thief. The other locks are a nut with a set screw. Perhaps a little better but what a pain when you need to add air to an inside dual. A lot of users have a small parts box, the type you find in the fishing tackle stores, and they remove the toad sensors when camping. A good idea if you are going to travel anywhere in the toad. I know that over the last 10 years I have had 5 or 6 valve caps stolen so why not the sensors? BTW: I was having some tires installed on my truck and was reading a tire dealers magazine. If you have the internally mounted TPMS they charge a whole bunch to rotate your tires. There have also been problems with those sensors corroding. Has anyone installd heri monitors yet? Would be nice to see a few photos of an install on various Birds. I ordered a Ram mount for mine. If anyone is interested I will post the link. Bruce 1988FC35 Cold Rainy Canada |

Pressure Pro question on locks
Ram is a company that makes hundreds of different mounts for portable
elctronics: Satellite radio, Ipods, GPS, laptop, etc. They are lightweight, inexpensive and well designed. Here is the link: http://www.gpscity.com/item-ram-mount-do...und-plate- assembly/ramb101.htm sorry for the wraparound. I am on a slow dial up for the weekend and cannot get to that tinyurl site.
