Scott,
On my 86 PT40 mine is in the compartment with the chargers. But knowing BB and
your coach being a 38 footer it may be different.

Well, if that's it, then mine doesn't work. Where can I get one of
these?

OK...a little help...

There are solenoids all over the place. There's one on the front
wall of the batter charger compartment. There are two others on the
metal panel that folds down to give access to the charger
compartment. And there are three of them behind the step well,
although it looks like two of them are for the leveling pump. None
of these make the audible "click" when I hit the Aux Batt switch.

The drawings in my Blue Box aren't as comprehensive as they were in
my FC, so I am having trouble figuring all this out.

Help!

Scott:

Locate the solenoid that the gen set battery charge diode is connected to.
It should be on the right of the compartment behind an angle bracket. That
is the solenoid that by passes the diode and connects the batteries together.

I was looking for the diode, couldn't find it. But I think I know
the one you are speking of. Lots of connections around that thing.

Thanks

Aux Batt solenoid on PT
Scott,

On my coach it is in the front drivers side compartment. With the
Gen. radiator, fan, control box, etc.. Mine is not working either.
I've got it narrowed down to the wire from the switch to the
solenoid, has a break in it somewhere?

The '86 and '87 are built way different in that compartment.
