VW TDI as a toad?
A suggestion for all who tow toads
A good majority of new vehicles come with a security key than enables
the car to start
What I did was get a key cut or valet key that has no chip or security
functions in it
You can turn on the igniton and use the options ie.
windows,radio,steering unlocked
But the car will not start
Key stays taped in top of glove compartment when not in use
Cost about 2.50 at a locksmith or a hardware store

VW TDI as a toad?
i have been towing a 2001 beetle tdi 5 speed for over
a year no problems. only thing is to be sure that the
ig switch is not in the locked pos or the on pos.just
in between. I had the switch go to the on pos and i
left it hooked up for 2 days dead battery. I now
carry 20ft jump cables if it happens again.
