Propane refrig.

Will the refrige, on propane, keep running during travel. If not, is
my main engine alternator w/inverter enough to power it on AC. I have
a Heart 2500 W inverter. Don't know how big the alternator is.

Hi Art:

Yes, the refer should go to LP when the gen set is off and your not on
shore power. To run it off the inverter on ac you would have to re wire
some circuits, but there should be no need to do so.

Art, The one I have has a delay hooked up to bus ignition to keep the
pilot from striking a spark while fueling. The circuit board with the
defaults runs on 12v as does the interior light.

Yes it will. You have to be sure that you have the setting on the eye brow
set to automatic. If it set to auto, it will seek 110 vac first then go to lp.

I guess you didn't get a straight answer, because that's what they're
designed to do. However, many years ago, I rented an RV where the
pilot light would blow out when on the road. I'd hope that newer
refrigerators would have electric spark for starting the burner
instead of a pilot light so that shouldn't be a problem. My coach has
a regular home-type refrigerator that runs off the inverter. Makes
boondocking a problem as it pulls down the batteries rather quickly.
