What type of ATF for HWH?
Can I just use regular old Dexron III in the leveling jacks? My HWH
manual says "type A" or "type B" transmission fluid and I'm not familiar with that - neither are the people at the local auto store. I just need to top it off & it's clearly got some type of ATF in it now. Thank you! -Ryan '86 PT-40 8V92 Tri-Cities, WA |

Thanks all for your responses. Dexron III it is. Seemed to work fine,
jacks can extend fully now (it was a quart low). Funny, though, how heavy this bus is and how soft the soil at my house must be. I told it to level and watched all four jacks punch a 1 to 2 foot deep hole into the ground. Hah! I'm going to have to put some wood under the jacks next time, and/or just concrete the RV parking. :-) -Ryan '86 PT-40 8V92 Tri-Cities, WA On 6/7/07, Curt Sprenger > Ryan, > Dexron III will work. What type of ATF for HWH?
Ryan,
At home base I always put wood under the jacks, I park in a parking lot. I think that the less I have to run the jacks down the better! Jim Riordan 88 WBWL XXV Stuart, Fl. Ryan: You got the same problem huh. I thought the gravel was packed down real
tight, even when I backed the bus over it, no tire marks, but put the jack down, hmmm hole in driveway LOL. Bill 84 FC 35 SB "$quanderlodge" Terrace, B.C.
