Transmission data link connector
Anyone know where it is? My Allison tech can't find it.

Ryan mine is located behind the left panel beside my left knee. The panel on
mine has the controls for backup camera, chassis heat etc. Remove panel and
you should find two plugs. One for engine and one for transmission. They can
be hard to locate as there is a lot of wiring in there and they just laid
the plugs in on top or under everything.

'86 PT-40 8V92
Tri-Cities, WA

Thanks for the responses, I think they will be able to find it now.
The tech is an Allison trained guy at a local Kenworth dealership.

On my 86 8V92 it is behind the drawers at the center of the dash.
Remove the drawers and you will see it.

Thanks again to all. We found the thing mounted on a panel in front of
the driver's left knee, partially obscured by some wires and a flip
down foot rest thing. I drove out there and laid on my back between
the seat and the pedals digging and looking for 45 minutes. In the end
the damn thing was right in front of our faces the whole time.

Appreciate everyone's help! You saved me having to dig through the
engine compartment, because that's surely where I would have been
after not finding it up front for so long.
