Fridge problem
You might need to take that unit apart and clean it. Mine did the same and
that corrected the problem. Ernie Ekberg 83PT40 Livingston, Mt ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Fridge problem
The alarm below our Fridge keeps going off. The fridge seems to be
lighting and working well but after a day of operation the alarm starts to sound intermittently. I have checked for gas leaks and there doesn't seem to be any. Does anyone have any advice on trouble shooting this? Wishing all of you a happy and safe 4th! 1982 FC35 "Perfect Weekend" |

Fridge problem
Make sure your 12 volt battery system is charging properly. Sounds like
you only have the alarm turn on after you have run for a day. Are you plugging into shore power or starting the generator to charge the batteries? If all the 12 volt lights etc are ok, then you may have a loose connector to the alarm or possibly you do have a leak in the propane line? You need 12 volts to operate the valve for the propane line to the fridge. Good luck & have a safe 4th. Fridge problem
Last weekend my friend had a similar problem while we were camping. It
turned out to be his wife's hairspray setting it off. - Chuck Wheeler - 82 FC 31 SB Fort Worth, TX _____ From: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com [mailto:WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of jmoorelewy Sent: Tuesday, July 03, 2007 4:37 PM To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Fridge problem The alarm below our Fridge keeps going off. Fridge problem
I had the same problem on our 94 BB BMC 37' and finally replaced the
propane detector. I think only CCI now sells a detector with the auto propane shut off system. I went with the CCI Control Electronic LP Gas Detector model 50859. When a gas leak is detected in the RV, it sounds an alarm -- and it shuts off the gas supply by controlling a UL listed LP gas valve. It also has a on/off switch, that will open and close the external gas valve. This is what the original Atwood did minus the on/off switch, the new ones that I found from Atwood did not have the shutoff feature. The CCI is flush mount, but a different size than the Atwood. I had to lengthen the mounting hole, and make a cover plate to decrease the width. I mounted it vertically versus horizontially, with the sensor at the bottom. I tested the CCI and it does indeed shutoff the original LP valve on my 94 BB BMC 37'. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/lp-ga...rce=google http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/lp-ga...e-tell.htm Dan NM --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "jmoorelewy" wrote: > > The alarm below our Fridge keeps going off.
