Hot Feet!
I am getting warm (Hot) air around my feet in the drivers area of our FC. I
have tries to check the obvious areas, Dog house seals etc. It's not coming from the heaters. Has anyone else run into this? Is there something I am overlooking? Any Ideas appreciated. - Chuck Wheeler - 82 FC 31 SB Fort Worth, TX _____ From: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com [mailto:WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of pattypape Sent: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 5:54 AM To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Re: seat and shoulder belts Try this School Bus parts place. http://www.schoolbu <http://www.schoolbuspartsco.com/WebPages...belts.html> spartsco.com/WebPages/safetyproducts/seatbelts.html Bill 88 FC Michigan --- In WanderlodgeForum@ yahoogroups.com, "bubblerboy64" wrote: > > My 1973 has had all the belts removed. Hot Feet!
Actually I opened it to cool my feet and that helped some. The only thing
different was we couldn't run the generator so we had the windows and vents open. This may have been drawing hot engine air in. It was much worse when the radiator fan came on so it is hot air leaking from the engine someplace. - Chuck Wheeler - 82 FC 31 SB Fort Worth, TX _____ From: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com [mailto:WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Jon Sent: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 10:20 AM To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Re: Hot Feet! --- In WanderlodgeForum@ yahoogroups.com, "Chuck Wheeler" > > I am getting warm (Hot) air around my feet in the drivers area of our FC. Chuck, have you replaced the insulation in your dog house? On my FC, that
was the culprit. Ernie Ekberg 83PT40 Livingston, Mt ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Hot Feet!
I had the same problem, you have to have real good seals at every point of
the dog house to stop leaks when a window is open. I used high heat tape. To seal where the doghouse meets the fire wall. That was the largest leak. I also added sound / heat insulation to the are right of the throttle pedal to stop radiant heat from the radiator. With 60 mph + wind on the nose and any window open, the smallest opening lets a lot of heat through. I think that you are probably on to my problem Jim! I drove it far enough
to get warmed up and then set the idle up with the fan engaged. I could feel warm air moving.
