Another SOB disaster (fire)
Ernie,
As it says in the article, 2 minutes and the rig was totally
engulfed. 13 minutes and it was totally gone. Fire thought to have
started in the engine compartment. They are in Boise now, trying to
get their lives back in order. Full timers with a high ticket
business installing satellite equipment, they had their inventory
with them. They got their bodies safe,

Terry my manual says "This red light with the word FIRE will come on when
signaled by over temperature sensors in the engine compartment."

Another SOB disaster (fire)
I believe Halon isn't available anymore.
I am thinking of the same thing to put in my engine compartment and
went to West Marine to see what they have.
They have several automatic systems that will go off at a preset temp
and also several systems that have any alarm and you can manually set
them off.
I am looking at getting two systems, one for each side of the engine.

Would you think the fan for the radiator blowing across the engine would blow
away most of the fire extinguishers retardant.
