Copilot chair control needed
Pen, I went to a salvage yard with Bim a couple of months ago. The switch is
an exact replacement and is found on any mid 80 Chrysler with electric seats.
The drivers side seems to be easiest to get out. The part cost 10 bucks and
it took us 10 minutes to remove it from the old car. Ernie- 83PT40 in Texas-

Hi from Omaha. With Ralph here working on our coach the switch and 6
way seat control on our copilot chair went south. Bluebird does not
have it but suggested one could be found in 1980-86 Chrysler New
Yorkers. We thought one of you might have the part? You never know
what people save. Meanwhile our 3 bird conclave is breaking up since
Ralph and Charolette are heading back to Oklahoma.

Jim,

I installed literally thousands of those switches back in the day.
As I remember, there were three buttons and six copper pins set at a
45 degree angle from vertical. Switches were interchangeable from
left/right. Never thought that someone might need one for their
'Bird!

I doubt that Chrysler dealers would stock a part that old - you could
try though. Best place might be a junkyard ("remember, your 'Bird is
running on used parts");-). Some auto parts stores carry the Help!
brand of replacement parts - you might find a workable replacement
that way.

Copilot chair control needed
When one of my seat controls broke I called all over the country when none
of my local Chrysler Corp dealers had one. Found only one in New Jersey and
it was $300

Then got a set of Vila seats from Muriels and it had the very same seat
controls on it as my 1982 Bird had. What a deal.
