George, now you have me thinking, and that is dangerous, LOL

I'll have to look at my turbo and try to spot a wastegate, but I have
no problem developing 26-28 lbs of boost and pyro temps have never
gotten above 900 even pulling 8% for long periods. BUT! It is a bit
slow to spin up and get going from a dead stop.

What years have the new turbo?

Series 60 Turbo (was Re: Reduced turbo boost-RESULTS-followup ??)
Hi Paul,

Remember that I have the series 60 which is a four stroke. As far as
I know, none of the Detroits ever came with a waste gated Turbo.
After consulting with my Turbo Guru, Pius at Bell Turbo in Stockton,
CA, I decided to have mine standard turbo replaced with the "daughter
of all turbos". BTW, Bell turbos have powered the fastest diesels in
the US. My pyro normally runs around 5 - 600 while cruising only
occasionally getting up to 700 with boost of 25 psi. I am thinking
about seeing if we can get it turned up a bit higher. I suggest you
give Pius a call. He is one of the most knowledgeable people in the
country and in in great demand. Next to him, I know nothing....
