I am thinking about adding an in-motion satellite from Tracvision to
my BB. I was wondering if anyone had a opinion about the in-motion
viewing? I would also like to know the difference between the L2 for
$1596.99 and the L3 for $2197.00 (prices from camping world)? I have
been on Tracvisions website and didn't really get a clear difference.
I have Dishnetwork installed at home and that is the reciever I will
be using, if that makes any difference. Thanks

I have the S2 stationary TracVision. It was on the BB when I bought it.
I also have the Dish network. All I did to make it work was to plug in
the control box to 110V, hook up the coax feed to the box, and set the
TV on channel 3. It searched for a couple minutes and then I got great
reception.

i had a kvh tracking dish that didn't work the day i got it,at every show that i
went to kvh had to work on it,reprograming etc,etc/they told me it was becaise i
used dish network..i changed to direct tv,had them reprogram it again and it
still didnt work worth a damn.then last summer the receiver went bad,and the
only receiver that would work with the dish was an old outdated reciever that
nobody had.i had to find one at a yard sale..so,last month on a racing trip it
quit working again.so,i tossed it,and bought a new king tracking dish. i just
wanted to share my kvh stories,i paid 3200 bucks for it and the service was
terrible,i was a vendor at the shows and i was at their booth the day before the
show started so i could get it worked on. i would not get any kvh products, not
even free! on the other hand, the king unit was an easy install,i hooked it
up,turned it on,and within 3 min.it was doing the job. i have not been on a road
trip yet,but i do do donuts in the yard,it stayed on satilite, locked on at
98%..so far so good! before i bought it i called king customer service,as
expected i got voice mail, but, within the hour they called me back!! that made me
very happy!! kvh never called me back, not once...thanks,randy

There is one of these systems that provide for 2 way internet access while on
the road. The one I was looking at was about $3000.00. The more expensive one
you were quoted may be it.

If I read the site correctly, I think the internet dish is for use only in
Europe. Motosat Data storm was the only unit I found for 2-way internet on
the road and unfortunately you have to be at a standstill. It's a $7000+
unit after installation. I bought mine off e-bay for $3000, but after all
was said and done, it was closer to $5000.

I have a KVH in motion too, works great, no problems in 3 years use.
(Directv) It has outputs for new and old style receivers. Note that
some folks hooked their dish directly to the coach 12VDC that was
not filtered properly and that caused problems. Using an ac adapter
and the inverter or shore power works fine. You must have ac for the
TV and receiver anyway so plug in the adapter where the TV is
plugged in.
