Air Dryer Info
Scott- everytime I go into a parts store I always look for someone with the
same color hair as mine. Those individuals usually have been around the parts business for a while and usually can handle a request without having to say, I don't know. The can't look stuff up and find what the customer needs generation is well upon us. I guess they earn their $5 per hour~ Ernie- 83PT40 in Texas- I sure don't tell them I have a Bluebird- they wouldn't have a clue [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Air Dryer Info
Hi All,
Tom gave me a number for an AD-2 purge valve kit Bendix part # BX287053. NAPA cannot find it or cross-reference it. Does anyone have any additional information on this part? 287053 is a good number. My parts receipt shows that number. NAPA
stores in my area aren't able to help with parts I need. Maybe you are experiencing the same. A big truck parts place will have it. NAPA has access to all of these parts in fact all of the Bendix and Haldex
parts for the majority of the parts for our suspension, brakes etc. Most of the employees are just to lazy to find them. They are trained to have you give them a car make, model, and year and if you cant most of them are stumped. Also NAPA sometimes does funny things with the numbers they assign to these parts. Sometimes they add a 00 in front of the part number. I just uploaded a new file under Forward Control & Maintenance that gives all of the correct part numbers for the AD2. If there are other air driers that are used I will upload those also if someone needs them. Tom Warner 1982 FC35 Vernon Center,NY At 12:54 PM 5/14/2005 -0700, you wrote: >287053 is a good number. Charles, I got my rebuild kits (purge valve and descicant cartridge)
from NAPA at first they were stumped as well..then I got the MGR and told him my concerns..I would be buying parts from time and want to buy them from my "local" store! I asked him for a suggestion as to who I should deal with that will work with me rather than be more interested in schmoozing the parts delivery girl!! He straightened things out..now I only deal with him and they deliver in stock parts within 30min most of the time..Just get the right guy..they sell em.. Something else I have noticed about NAPA - Some of the stores are Car
and Truck parts and others are just Car parts. And as Tom mentioned, some of the employees are too lazy to do the research necessary to get the parts. Whenever I have gone to one that has "Truck parts" in their name, the service has been much better. Tom,
Can you add info in files on Bluebird BMC Air Dryer info: NAPA Part number DQ6026 ($123.99)is the correct repair kit for the Midland Graw Air Pure Plus air dryer on a 94/95/?? BMC 37'. The kit consists of the desiccant canister, coalescing filter, 175 PSI pressure relief valve, orings, purge valve shield, screws etc. Also, here is a good Benmdix link: http://www.bendix.com/products/Compressors.shtml Dan 94 BMC 37' --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Tom Warner wrote: clip If there are other air driers that > are used I will upload those also if someone needs them. > > Tom Warner > 1982 FC35 > Vernon Center,NY > |
