Roof Storage Pods
Bill I was looking at a 87 FC 35' two years in PA with two roof pods on

Roof Storage Pods
We are considering the addition of another storage pod. Has anyone

Roof Storage Pods
Bill I seem to remember someone putting pods on their roof using the raised
walkways. If if you have room and the raised walkway(s) on your roof couldn't you attach the pod directly to the walkway on one side or the other instead of putting holes directly into the roof. If you wanted the pod centered maybe you could use some bridging material from the walkway on one side to the walkway on the other and attach the pod to the bridging. Just some thoughts. walkways. If if you have room and the raised walkway(s) on your roof couldn't you attach the pod directly to the walkway on one side or the other instead of putting holes directly into the roof. On the 1987 Fc dont you have a solid aluminum diamond plate on the roof
that entends to both goat rails and from front to back. If so you are only attaching to the diamond plate not the roof. Just make sure you have the correct length screws. Roof Storage Pods
There was a roof pod on our 73 when we bought it. I removed it as we
have plenty of space in the coach. It was attached to the couragated walkways by some big sheet metal screws. What do you folks use them for? Ours does not have any sort of weather-
stripping and it appears water could certainly get in at highway speeds. With no venting they must get hot and likely attract wasps or spiders. I'm sure we could use the extra space- but for what? George& Sandy 88FC |

I have a pod that I use a lot, but I do only store things in it that
won't be harmed by water. That said, though, I have never noticed any water inside the pod at all (or any critters). It is a nice thing to have in my opinion.
