77 FC Renovations
Dunno if I've followed this thread right, but if the question is: can
another sofa bed be installed in place of chairs or whatever? Our FC31 has a standard FlexSteel sofa bed installed behind the operator's chair, over a full height wheelwell. I'd say it would fit on the co- pilot's side as well. I've had four of these FlexSteel couches over the years. They work quite well but come in different levels of upholstery and comfort. Best not to buy one sight-unseen. Our current one has removable arm rests which is nice. Tim, Thanks for the info on the couch layout.

My '77 was also a factory twin-sofa (not originally, but as-delivered
new). The streetside is normally a pull-out and the curbside a fixed sofa, but both with removable back cushions to make beds (single and double). The streetside bed pulls out within a couple of inches of the curbside one so no space for a second pull-out (or walking through). - Jeff Miller http://www.wanderlodge.net http://www.millercoachworks.com --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "woodland_builders" > Tim, Thanks for the info on the couch layout. > Gene Chaude > 77 FC 33 > Connecticut > --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Tim Hannink" > > > > woodland_builders > > > > > > I would also like to know if both couches in the early > > > Forward Controls opened into a bed or if one is fixed in > position? > > > > In my '81 FC-33SB, the curbside one is fixed.
