Only one problem with that coach> It will have to go to BB for the
recall unless it was done already. Depending on the model it might be 2009 before it is completed. This is a serious recall. Bruce |

I guess it's always a matter of price. If the price is right, I'd buy it, take it to a metal fab shop, strip out the lightweight IFS and bolt in a good old fashioned 18000 lb stick axle. It's interesting that the longer I'm involved in motorhomes, the more I want low tech, tried and proven technology. An M450 recently sold for $389K at www.mhsrv.com, so I'd say $485K is still a little on the high side. David, '02 LXi, NC birdshill123 wrote:

Ah, but is the front axle over weight?

There's 3 or 4 of the "warranty" coaches here at CCW right now. The
new generator location looks good, and it's very quiet. But servicing the genny will be a bear to get at the belts, etc. If they get the weight down with the genny move, then they can release the coach back to the owner (with restrictions on how much can be loaded in the basement compartments). They'll bring 'em back for the new front axle, when it's designed and manufactured. Total cost of the warranty fix is about $40,000... So, it's a _lot_ of work. Leroy, 'the dirt is dug'.(was shakespere an excavator) I have a
treehugger gig in Tehachapi reserve. I make a monthly site visit but was told to hide the bus and buy another toad. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-tejon8- 2008may08,0,25201.story greg --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Leroy Eckert > > Really, I am still thinking.
