still trying to fix the engine air conditioner
On EBAY today its somewhere around $265 for 30# (7974763090) . I think
that is still to high. Glad I bought 2 cases of it for $18/case in February
2005 at Sams Club. Have you checked there?

Just came back from there... My SIL is a member and I got a 30
pounder for $250.27 including tax. Still ridiculous increase from
last year....

... unless the compressor is seized, in which case you'll fairly
quickly see smoke from the clutch.

I can speak to that..... I went to charge the system and the
compressor was not engaging. (Always do the simple things first???)
There was a gadget that looked like an inline fuse but when taken
apart, seems more like a fancy connector. Anyway, checked for voltage
and had voltage to that point. Checked continuity from that point thru
the clutch coil and it read infinite... Ran a jumper direct from the
battery to the clutch wire and no engagement. Going tomorrow to pick
up a new clutch - quoted $121. Hopefully I will then have a
completely functioning dash air.
