Genset in/out actuator
Hey y'all ... Kat & I still have our bird although we still aren't
using 'er (work all the durn time). Of course that means when we do use 'er I've gotta work on 'er ... right?? The worm gear that moves the generator compartment out & in is wore out. Motor still seems to be okay but the worm gear is horrible. It is of the same design as the ones used to position large satellite dishes (y'all remember C band don't you?). Does anyone know a source other than BB to order a replacement unit? Someday I'll share some of my "war stories" re: getting a stuck genset to go back in ... or even better ... getting it out. Hey Steve,
Why wait for someday? Please feel free to immediately share the story of how you got the stuck genset to go back in with the worm gear not working. You know, just in case some other 91 model owner might be interested. LOL.... and needing to file that for future reference.
