ride it out, all I will say is good luck and god bless.

If you need a place to run to your welcomed here.

I am afraid that it is to late to leave now and get hit parked on the highway. I rode out Opal, Ivan, and Katrina. My Destin hanger handled all of them but was not much fun. In my early life I rode out Donna. And since several others that I cannot remember the names. I am finished with that business. It is a primary reason I left Destin FL.
God Bless you good folks. Let us know how it goes.

Leroy,

I did 27 years in Fla. as a kid. I remeber Donna, Cleo, and all the
near misses, oh lets not forget the stupidity of Hurricain Parties!
I've been a refuge in Tenn since '86 don't miss Fla at all. Gone back
a few times to help freinds and family clean up. If you don't get out
of the way you'll get hurt, their choice.
Two family members left in Fla.one in St. Pete and one in Destin both
less than 2 blocks from the water. My sisters house is the first
house out of the flood plain, she feels safe ?????????????? There's
your sign!!!!And like allways we'll go help fix the mess in the
aftermath.

Yeah buddy, I am done with that. Steve is in a quonset hut per MB and that is a good thing. The weak points are the doors. If the doors hang in all is well otherwise it could fly.
Been here in Chattanooga doing tourist stuff with the kids, leaving tomorrow for the NE GA mountains. It's hot, sweaty and humid here. I have not perspired like this since living in FL.

Thanks for the update Bob. Glad you decided to head to safer ground.
I wonder where our other Gulf coast members are? We finally got our
son near Shreveport to take it serious and get ready also. Let us
know how many are at the Birds Nest.
