I suppose to have a smart charger on my coach??
I keep my coach plugged in all the time when it is stored, but utilize a timer on the chargers. The timer is set to allow charging 24 hours (1 day) a week. The 1 day per week is based upon the info in my BB manual.

I suppose to have a smart charger on my coach??
Steve Anderson gave me last year a smart charger that charges at 60
amps. But since I never unplug my shore power that I haft to fill my battery's up with distilled water about every six weeks or so. I thought these smart chargers were suppose to eliminate this water refill problem? I was wondering if anyone here just puts a timer on there internal charger to say turn it on and oft for so many hours a day? Or would you suggest that I just put a separate switch in my coach to turn oft the charger when I deam that the coach is up to full charge. I do not think there are any 12 volt items being used when I'm not in the coach. Anyway I thank Steve for giving me the charger unit and I'm sure that I can install that second switch befor the charger to just turn it oft. |
