Hi Ron,
If it is the one coming out of the bottom of your water pump- it is the same one that failed on me. The guts can be replaced if you can find an exact match. Pulling the pump is a real PITA, but worth doing for front heat. On mine there are 4 valves. The upper two were "relatively" easy to remove, so I
replaced them with ball valves. Those upper ones were still functional. The one below the water pump had dropped the gate, and since it was the same as the upper two I did fix it by using the guts from one of them. The fourth one would also be very difficult to replace, and is a different body, but fortunately is still working. Holy cats! Is that typical?! At that price, sensors and goodies and
really any sort of add-ons you can buy to help prevent something like this are well worth the investment. Ouch, ouch, ouch...
