Our coach is ready to go and are heading to S. Dakota. We bought
Jeff
Millers 1983 Blue Bird 35'. Does anyone have a suggestion on what
campgrounds are the nicest to stay in. We need to have electric as
we
have a Persian cat that travels with us. We thought we might stay in
the Deadwood area. Any suggestions???? We are from the UP of
Michigan
and we are having a hot day today.

Hi Tim,

We found the Spearfish City Campground at 440 S. Canyon to be very
nice. The phone is (605)642-1340.

If you are in Deadwood on a Wednesday, it is senior's day at the
Siverrado Casino for lunch. Last fall it was $.99 for a prime rib
buffet. WELL worth it.

Dave,

Are you extending a general invitation all WL Owners or just to
limited ones? When in the area, we would love to drop in if we can.
Also, are you listed in the FMCA Stoppin' Spots?

Thank you, Dave. WE have been on the FMCA Stoppin Spots for years.
Now that we are going full time and don't have a permanent location,
we are having to remove that. Perhaps we will see you right after the
Summer Convention in Minot as we head towards HWH in IA....

Tim & Lin,

I recently looked on the web for state parks in South Dakota. There are
several in the Rapid City area that looked promising but not all sites
had electric hookups. My hard drive crashed resulting in a loss of
information - sorry I can't provide any details. You could enter South
Dakota State Parks in your search engine and go from there.

There is a campground near Sturgis that is pretty nice, Rick's RV Pads.
It's booked solid for the latter part of the summer by motorcyclists
attending the annual rally. I imagine they get a lot of tourists
earlier in the summer visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse etc.
