Happy new year!

Is anyone familiar with the 1982 35' FC on ebay?

Seems like a lot of mileage and the seller doesn't seem to know much
about it.

Regards,
tom

Glenn your 83FC is hard to find. you may want to increase your hits by adding Wanderlodge to the title. few folks look for bluebird. some of them look for two words "blue bird" . whats funny is when you type bluebird in ebay main related searches include Newell, prevost and Yugo. Yugo

Tom, reading thru the conversations to the seller of the 82fc, He/She kinda goes around an answer. I only trust sellers who post a phone number and name. I have in the past found the reserve by retracting a over the top bid but now that reflects in your Ebay rating. use a second ebay account?

Once you get a phone number convert it to XXX-YYY-AAAA and run a
google search. phone numbers are more unique than full names. wont
tell you much about the product but gives you a clue about the seller.
Like construction equipment auctions, E bay is a game, sellers and
buyers are players, few times both players win.

I don't know anything about the coach but it was there at the service
department in October during RATS. As for the mileage for a 27 year
old coach 7K a year just tells me the owners got more enjoyment from
their coach more then most owners. If you average the mileage that
is 20 miles a day and 135 miles a week, that is no miles at all. I'd
say that coach is in better shape mechanically then a 27 yo with 50K;
sitting around is worse then running down the road.

I was thinking like that also but, you don't see to many 3208's with 187,000 miles on them. Seems they usually need work / replacement around 100k.
I do understand that it's better to use them. They may last longer.
Still 187k. Isn't that alot?

I know of school busses and dump trucks with over 250K and still
going. It is operation & proper maintenance which is key to the
longevity to these engines. Sitting idle is the problem, not the useage.

Been on the road, no email, but we have 171,396 on our 82. Had 112,000+ on it when we bought it. Engine serial# matches the build sheet so I believe it is original. It used 2qt/1000 when we got it and I thought about a rebuild but never got around to it. It still uses 2qt/1000.
