Frig. Stopped Working
Thanks, Ernie. Yes, the help from 70 guys should do it. That has crossed my mind.
Cooling Update: The past 4 hours...the frig. operating on direct AC...the frig. has cooled down to 21 degrees...the freezer to 2 degrees. That's with nothing inside of the compartments. I don't see a need for additional time with the cooling test, but will let it run until this evening. At least I know the unit will FREEZE/COOL. Unless something changes, I'll re-load the refer. from the house refer., and head to Q in the morning, letting the generator provide direct AC to the refer. I'll monitor the frig. temperature so the lower unit won't freeze. Unless someone has already recorded this work around, please place it out on your site. And remind me to send written documentation so others can follow in detail what was done. All that is needed is an AC pig tail, two compatible connectors, some elec. tape, and about 10 minutes time. Frig. Stopped Working
Curt you could buy yourself on of those little bar fridges from Walmart to keep a few things cold while waiting for the correct replacement fridge to come in. This with bag ice would get you through Quartzite for probably less than $120- $150. when you get home you'll have a little bar fridge for the workshop.

Frig. Stopped Working
Hi Rob,
Thanks. That will work. Already have a large shop bar fridge that holds a keg and various brands of canned/bottled beer. Friends & neighbors stop by often...after 4m. Frig. Stopped Working
In response to a number of comments regarding refrigerator problems,
there is an RV refrigerator repair facility on I40 a few miles west of Conway, AR called World Class RV Refrigeration. They specialize in remanufactured Norcold and Dometic cooling units. My daughter had them repair the Dometic unit in thier 1988 Wanderlodge and was impressed with their service. Their web site is http://www.rvfridge.com. If you are running I40 they can be seen on the south side of the interstate when you are passing through Plummerville, AR. They have been written up in the FMCA magazine and appear to be very reliable. Royal Washburn --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Curt Sprenger" > > Hi Rob, > > Thanks. That will work.
