FowJet Waste pump Kit

I need devise a plan B. I was thinking of pickingup one of these FlowJetDump Kits now on sale at CampWorld. Has any one had an experience with them?

In my raural area of SoCal we are on septic. the problem with a quick dump into the septic tank is the solids wash over to the clean side of the tank then filter into the leachlines. I want to pump the holding tank 2.5 foot deep into the solid side of the septic to displace clean water ontop over to the clean side of the tank.

I have used these macerator pumps for several years now and I would recommend an installation that makes it quick and easy to disassemble and get to the impeller. The weakness of these pumps (beyond the cheap 12v motor) is that they do not process hair, it tangles at the impeller and eventually fills the pump, which overloads the motor and kills it. My setup is assembled and disassembled with each use not built in so it makes it easy with needle nose pliers to pull the hair out with each use after everything is rinsed off. I was only getting about two years of fulltimer use from this rather expensive pump until I figured out

the hair problem. I could not recommend this pump for a permanent closed installation.

About three months ago I saw that system or a similar one installed on a 84PT. At this moment I have forgotten the owners name. I have to say it worked pretty well because I watched it work. There was no smell and the lines were transparent so you can see when it is finished. I have considered it for my coach but have not done it yet. I bet you could pump it 100'. The only thing I wonder about is the exit hose is how one cleans it to store. I suppose you do the same thing with the slinky. Dump the black first then the gray. A little off subject. You have two polished aluminum units. How do you like the Airstream. I love the looks of them. At my warehouse/repair station/storage facility I pump about

150ft and up about 4ft to get to the sewer line, pumps everything

but hair just fine! First I pump out the black tank, then gray, then I

have a garden hose for the express purpose of connecting to the hose I use and I run clean fresh water for several minutes. I also

do not pay outrageous prices for special 1 inch line, I use the best quality garden hose in 3/4in and Lowe's even has it in black.

To get away with using 3/4 in garden hose you have to make an adaptor of heater hose (3/4) which has enough flexibility to get it over the 1 inch pump port, garden hose won't go on.

I got a flo jet from Camping World last summer when I had thoughts of keeping
the bus at
home (the Peoples Republic of Ann Arbor had other thoughts). At any rate, it is
portable and I
was able to hook 2 50' hoses together and get it down to my basement to the
sewer line. I
did flush black then grey and I did use needle nose pliers for the hair, but it
worked fine.

We opted for the Sani-Con Tank Buddy version, available at Camping
World. Portable, and perfect for those situations where your sewer
hose just isn't long enough or where you have to pump up hill. It's a
macerating type of pump and it will clog with hair if you don't pay
attention. It's easy to hook-up, clean out... all you have to do is
know how to use a screw driver.
