1995 WLWB 42, LPG GAS Main Shut off Valve.

1995 WLWB 42, LPG GAS Main Shut off Valve.
I have never used the LPG gas since I have had this coach and I have an absolutely stupid question. Where the heck is the main LPG Shut off Valve on a 1995 WLWB 42?

Does the Master LPG Switch that is located in the counter right in front of the sink the only switch that controls the gas supply on and off. When I turn the Alarm switch on it buzzes. There is no gas leak that I can detect anywhere so it must be buzzing because the gas supply is turned off.

Oh, the refrigerator is running when the Inverter is on and also when the generator is on or the shore line is hooked up. It is just the Lpg mode on the frig that does not work. When You set it to lpg operation it waits about 45 seconds then the check light comes on. The LPG level indicator shows almost full of gas. The only thing I can think of is that the
main shut off valve is off.

Appreciate any help from someone who is familiar with this coach.

Thanks Al I Have a 1995 wide body which must be different than your LXI.
The fuel door on the Road side has a diesel inlet and a fuel inlet for the LPGas but no shut off valve .

I read in the Owners manual words saying to be sure to shut off the Main shut off valve but no mention of where it is located.

There is a Gas detection control down on the floor level just to the right of the refrigerator. When I turn it on and the LPG Master control switch is turned on it begins chirping. but I can't detect a leak anywhere. Can's smell any gas and had three people check it too. The Alarm Switch when turned on buzzes regardless of where the LPG Master Control Switch is set.

I think your LXI is probably different than my 1995 Coach.

Ron, on my coach there is a toggle switch in the starboard fuel door that is the cut off for the lp gas; the fill valve is in the same fuel port. The inside master switch is under the stove on the floor in the galley. Hope this helps..

behind the fridge. If the fridge has not been operating on gas for awhile it
will take several starts for it to get going if everything it ok.

Ron:

On my 94 WB, there is a valve, identical to the one on the top of an LP Gas Tank
in the wash station compartment street side. Turn in the direction of the arrow
pointing to close and in the direction pointing to open. This is the master cut
off valve and has nothing to do with the switches inside.

It took me forever to find mine when it was right there all along. I would
imagine yours is alomost like mine if not the same.

Best wishes

MY switch is in the same door as the LPfill. It is a simple on off switch that it by the way mine is a LX if in fact that makes a difference.

- Road side, second bay compartment door, back wall right in front of the
aquahot, there is a 12x12 inch panel with machine screws, remove it and it will
expose the valve on the tank itself and the inli ne dual stage regulator

Does the Master LPG Switch that is located in the counter right in front of the

-as others have stated, the master propane switch in from of the sink and in
the road side fuel door controls the flow of propane via another valve in
addition to the mechanical one on the tank. IF you are referring to the "alarm"
switch in from of the sink on the same panel as the master propane switch, that
alarm if for the refrigerator....temp sensor and goes off if the frig is too
warm, nothing to do with propane.....propane senors on the floor and wall
cabin......with auto shutoffs

-sounds like the "propane side / circuit / parts" of the fridge needs
service.... flue clogged, valve clogged, etc.... prior posts on this.....

Ron,

I haven't had mine as long as Pete has, so he'll have more detailed info. But
at the LPG fill door is a simple switch to turn the LPG on and off. As I
recall, mine is "backwards", meaning it needs to be flipped down to be on and
flipped up to be off. Then the inside switch there below the sink needs to be
on and the LPG detector needs to be on. Then you should have gas. I check by
turning the stovetop on to see that it lights and burns. Then you should be
able to have the fridge on gas. That being said, if rust has formed inside the
burner exhaust, it will flake off and block the flame sensor from operating.
Mine did this this past weekend. Open the door outside the back of the fridge
(assuming your fridge is flat against an outer wall) remove the cover over the
burner (it should be a flat plate with 2 phillips screws at the bottom).
There's then a small cover that just sits on top of the burner assembly, held in
place by the panel you just removed. Pull it off and clean the rust flakes out
of the way. I vacuumed mine out. Put it all back together and see what
happens. That fixed mine the first time, but now something else has occurred so
it won't stay lit anyway! Something else to do in my "spare time"!

Hope this helps.

John

Wallace,
I apologize for not getting back to you or anyone that has replied. I am on the road believe me I have not found a wifi in an RV park that is working. I am in Las Cruces NM now and this is the first one that has worked.

I looked in both fuel doors and no toggle switch in either one. Eacy fuel door has a fill valve though.

I did see that panel on the floor under neath the stove but had no idea what was behind the grill. I will take a look at that.

My fill display level says it is 3/4 full but when I turn the detection device on which is also on the floor to the right of the refrigerator goes to chirping when I turn it on. I can detect no leak anywhere. So don't know why it is chirping. So far I have done without the stove but that gets kind of hard to do after awhile.

This has been a bad luck
trip for me. My generator is giving me problems now. Started doing it yesterday. It acts like a fuel starvation problem. After it sits for awhile it will run for about 5 minutew or more and will generate voltage and doesn't stop. It will stop after what seems like it ran out of fuel.. Then if I let it sit for about 20 to 30 minutes it will doe the same process again.

And the next thing was zI stayed at an RV park in Boerne, Tx. and plugged in to their 50 Amp outlet and it was like it grounded itself. Acted like a phase reversal. I don't know at this point if any lasting damage ocured or not. I feel like there might have been some damage to the inverters possibly. But everything is working it seems on the surface.

Then the next thing was my jeep blew a tire and I didn't see it in the back up camera and obliterated the tire and ruined an expensive aluminum rim.

I was ready
to go back home but wifey wouldn't let me. I am on my way to Alaska with stops along the way.
thanks much for the information Wallace, I will take another look at those fuel doors to make sure I didn't miss something but I don't think I did. maybe it is under that grill on the floor under the stove.
Willl report back if I find the problem.

Thanks again.
