sound like the coach had a front end upgrade

i'll just keep my 20 inch tires on the back for now, they are
cheaper too! Can you tell me what might be included in a front end
upgrade other than tires and rims? jim

Hi, my first post. I just bought a 1979 fc35 off ebay,i live in
Jeffersonville,IN, i'm going to Ranburne, AL friday to pick it up.
Can someone tell me what size tire's are on the bus, thank's.

You will need to check with the owner to be sure. My 77FC35 had the
rims replaced by the previous owner so he could run standard truck
size 11R22.5's on it.

If you can get them for $500 each buy them! I just bought 2 last Dec. $1249.00

I did shop around.

4 tires @ $2000.00 is cheap for Michelins 12R 22.5 XZA*.

Interesting to note that the Michelin folks at the last BB RIV at Perry
Fairgrounds said that they have changed their guidelines to 10 years for RV
tires, provided they are inspected continuously for cracks not to exceed 1/32".
Also said absolutely no tire shine or any other rubber dressing to be used,
cover tires when not on the road to block UV.

First of this year, replaced six Michelin 315/85R22.5 XZA which were original
equipment on our coach. Just had some barely visible hairline cracks. Date
coded 1999. Another note, these tires had been run with Nitrogen, which
eliminates moisture inside the tire.

O.K, everyone.....

I'm now throughly confused. I have Michelins all the way around on my 94 WB.
Steer tires 4 years old. Drive tires 5 years old, Tag tires 6 years old. No
cracks, good tread. I was wanting to replace my steers and had figured on two
Goodyears for thew steers and moving the michelins to the Drive and the best of
the drives to the Tag.

My tire man here at home (does tires for a couple of churches one has a Prevost
Tour Bus and the other has a BB) recommends Goodyears, Firestones and
Bridgestones in that order. Does not recommend Michelins. Prices:

Goodyears $508.00 each including new ss valve stems and mounting.
Firestones $465.00 each, include ss valve stems and mounting.
Bridgestones $561.00 each, includes new ss valve stems and mounting.

The tire debate goes no, but I not choosy - just want the best tire for the
money.

You will not find them for $500 unless they are "hot". I think Michelin just
raised their prices again. Somewhere around $650 each out the door is a good
price. I have been quoted more!
