The 'Bird "Hitch Camera" installation was completed today except for the final location/mounting of the Monitor. All is working great. This is a John Finn addition to his coach and copied for our coach and our Dodge Ram 3500 too. The additional Transmitter cable length allowed for locating the Transmitter to the bed pedestal front...could move it forward of that location but not needed.

that is a great addition. I always have to hook up the trailer behind the coach by myself. Brenda is working paying for all this. And to not havve to get out of the coach to see if I'm close would be great- and since the camera is small- people will wonder- "how did he do that"?

Curt,

Which camera did you use? Sounds like the transmitter works fine from the bed
but I didn't think the reception would be that good.

It would be great to look at and listen remotely from the driver seat of the
toad, while en-route. noise is a big clue and steering wheel tracking and
vibrations a bigger clue.

I wouldn't mount them permanently and only set up docking so yu can change the
camera location. it may even work to use it as a tool to view hard to see engine
parts and down wall angles.

I have seen these at various places. While I don't expect HD Quality, how good is the video?
thanks
John

John,
The Video is very good, much better than I expected for a cheap system. And more than good enough for backing up to a trailer.
