Broke Down in MT
We broke down. Oil temp and cooling temp were high. Leaking coolant above
starter at 3/4 to 1 inch line that comes out of block above starter and goes
forward toward front of bus. Does starter need to come off? Where does this
hose go? What is it?

Towed in and working on it myself in St Regis, MT.

That hose goes to the compressor. There are two compressor hoses that need to be changed. It makes is a lot easier with the starter removed. Do a search on this site and WOG.

Robert, further to our conversation. As I told you I believe you have blown a compressor line and not a coolant line. There are two of them and you've blow the longer one from the bottom of the block forward. I've contacted  Randy Dupree who has replaced more of these than he cares to. He will talk you through the repair process. Keep us informed.

Terry,

I'm the guy who posted for Robert. Thanks for your reply. Don't know why he's
not answering. I suspect he's in a poor reception area. I'll keep trying him.

Terry I got them on phone and told them exactly that. Don't shut off the heater hoses and carrry on. They opted for a tow truck and are presently at a facility. They'll get good advice from Randy as he's changed out several of these including mine.

I phoned them Curt and told them to get in touch with Randy or me. It is very likely they have the infamous compressor hose leaks. I hope they don't shut off the heater hoses and carry on.

Thanks Rob. I knew someone would get to Robert to help. I was just in
St Regis yesterday. Could have helped him personally if the timing was
different. I recall a pretty big garage there. Maybe that is who
towed him?
