ladies Week
This post has absolutely nothing to do with Birds. however, it
is a blueprint for having a good time.... so please bare with me. My wife is part of a group of gals who every year rent a humungous house boat on Lake Shasta. This year 17 mid life crisis housewives gather at the river and launch out onto the lake for a week of fun and frolic. This year two of the participants are bird owners, my wife and Wilma Ailinger from Milton-Freewater in eastern Washington. Bruce, Wilma's husband, and I will be separately batching it for a week, subsisting on whatever we can find in the refer and at McDonalds. The gals have a great time, no husbands, lots of food and booze, ski boats, party boats, slammers....., swimming, more food, and the congenial atmosphere of a lot of gals who all enjoy the same things. Doctors, housewifes, resort owners, lawyers, you name it. This is a annual event and should be encouraged. So......if any of you husbands out there who would love their better haves to have the time of their lives, let me know and we'll put you on the list for next year. Plus, you get to laugh (quietly) as you watch your wife do the tanning session routine so they don't burn up on the lake.... Enjoy the evening. I just had rain ruin another 20 acres of hay...it's not funny anymore. Blair in Oregon |

ladies Week
I don't know if they go to scope out the Chippendales. When my wife
and her best friend go to FL for a week or 10 days they admit to checking out the young hunks on the beach. I really don't care as she returns with pictures of shapely young ladies in brief bikinis! They're biding their time 'til they get to go to Hawaii. Her friend has a timeshare with an opening next March. Here at the Lake of the Ozarks in central MO there is the infamous (Anderson Hollow) "Party Cove." Plenty of wild shenanigans taking place there every weekend during the summer. There are posters and videos available at "The Strip" just west of Bagnell Dam. Literally hundreds of boats tie up and party hardy throughout the day and evening. The State Water Patrol has begun cracking down on intoxicated boaters. Too many offshore boats and PWC's are crashing and burning. A friend had two drunken young girls on PWC's cut in front of his boat just as he came up on plane. Despite the efforts of two RN's on board his craft they died of their injuries. I've "loaned" my boat to our son so that he can enjoy it on peaceful Table Rock lake in southwest MO. Anything less than 30' is in danger of being swamped or rammed by errant craft here at Lake of the Ozarks. Jim & Pam Owens 77 FC33SB (Gas) Lake of the Ozarks, MO |
