Aqua Hot performance
My Aqua Hot using the diesal burner was not able to keep my coach at 70 deg. the
outside temp was 15 deg. farenheit outside and by morning the coach dropped down
to about 65 deg. inside and 38 deg. in the basement. My coach is a 1996 PT42, is
this normal that the Aqua Hot could not keep up or a sign that there is
something wrong with my Aqua Hot?

I was also wondering in the Wanderlodges in the 1980s that used the 3 propane
furnaces, what was the btu ratings of those propane furnaces?

I would appreciate any input!!

Check your coolant level.

I would be certain all your pumps are running to all three zones and of course the fans are ok,( the one in the kitchen toe board is not protected and the blades could have broken).
Also the operating manual should show a thermostat you can access and raise up a little.

Aqua Hot performance
Hi Fred, all of my pumps and fans are opperating and I have a new burner nozzle and new Racor fuel filter, and the boiler fluid is at the proper level. What is the coldest temp you have used your coach in and did your Aqua Hot keep up? I was wondering if the 50,000 btu Aqua Hotis able to keep up in similar coachs to mine in cold temps.

Hi Wayne
I have only been in mid 20 s temps and that was just overnight stuff,so it wouldn’t be fair to say mine is any better considering the short amount of time it was below freezing.
You might consider posting on the Aqua Hot yahoo forum.

Wayne: Last month we went through several days in the teens. I have the Primus
in my coach and only using one side, it was able to keep the coach toasty. No
reason for your Aqua Hot not to be able to handle those temperatures. You just
have something amiss.

Aqua Hot performance

In one of the earlier posts, it was asked if you have enough coolant and you answered "YES". Are you just looking at the overflow tank or have you actually checked the coolant tank itself ? Is the radiator cap still good ? My cap went bad and I was 2 1/2 gallons low on coolant. A new cap and added coolant fixed the problem.
