Ernie,
I broke down and bit the bullet and got 4 stainless top hats at Elite Truck Accessories at 520 W. Mockingbird, Dallas TX 75247 for $244.73 (item #40013). My chrome ones only lasted about 5 years even when I waxed them. Ask for Ruth - she seems to know her stuff and ordered them in just a few days. The internet sites had about $40.00 shipping added to their prices.

Agreed that if you are going to buy, stainless is the way to go. I got mine from
Iowa80, but I did it at their place, so likewise no shipping. Robert, did you get two-piece or three-piece? I wasn't really thinking and got two-piece, which makes it impractical to easily check the oil level on the tags. Don,
I got the 2 piece also - I can take off every other lug to check the level. I usually take them off every year anyway to polish the wheels.
I also got the taller tag lug nuts so I wouldn't lose the nut caps as often. I like to check the brakes and drums for crackswithout the wheels on once a year...usually in early spring. Gives me a chance to see the inside walls of the tires also. I know what you mean about the nut caps coming off, and the stainless ones seem
more prone to it. What I did was to take a punch and put a "dimple" in the caps on each of the six sides, near the opening. Makes for a much more positive fit. Ernie,
This may not work, but I tried a reverse address directory search and came up with the following: 214-630-2272, but shows a company name of Mayne Enterprises.

Good Idea! I bought a case of 100 caps so I could change them all.
