In motion satellite

We've got a KVH L3 in motion satellite dish. The signals coming in are
strong on transponders 1&2. We get a message that says "antenna
pointing mismatch." The system says it's updating the guide, and
that's where it ends. No channels come in. It worked fine in VA. We
are now in NY State. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dick,

Sounds like the dish may be locked onto the wrong satellite. I had that
happen when I moved a long distance with the dish off and then re-
powered. Yours may be different but my book (at the back) shows a
manual acquisition sequence you can follow after plugging the serial
cable from the dish into a laptop. You can "zap" the present settings
and restart or even manually point it by zip code. Other way is to
move with it off and re-power again.

The tech's at KVH are very helpful and will walk you through the
process if you need.
