Drop down driving lights on 89 SP 36'
Don   I have been testing it like that & I think the key is on also. Does that sound right? The one light was on & the other was not on because the little switch that the back of the light hits when the light is down is bad.

One obvious thing that wasn't mentioned: I don't think the lights are supposed to go down unless they would also be on, so the ground probably completes only when all other condtions are met. Those conditions are lights on, high-beams on, driving light switch on. Is that how you are testing?

Drop down driving lights on 89 SP 36'
Don, mine didn't light unless the high beams were on. The lights could be down but not light unless you turned the high beams on.  My high beams are on the turn signal leaver on the side of the steering wheel

Thanks. I knew they wouldn't be on unless there were high beams, but since mine
have not worked correctly during my ownership I didn't know how the air
deployment worked in relationship.

Drop down driving lights on 89 SP 36'
Ralph,  Don, Something else I just figured out this morning is that the air bags have to be inflated to get a ground to the driving light switch. That is why I had to ground the switch to get them to drop down. after I aired the air bags the switch worked without the extra ground. I guess that is so your lights wouldn't come down & hit something . Now all I have to do is find a small switch to turn the left light on or wire it to the right light. What do you guys think about that ????????     Will that one light both of them?          Thanks Don

Interesting, that is a new twist to me, but does make sense. Perhaps the
ground is terminated to the 60 psi suspension sensor that turns off the
suspension dump light.
