fins steam cleaned - anybody have this problem?

Our '97 was overheating. The replacement of the thermostats fixed it.

'95 WB 42', checked all the fluid levels, checked water pump, put new
thermostats in and now have had the radiator washed. It's a series 60 Detroit,
it doesn't get shut down hot but it will when I hit a mountain.

My 97 WB with S60 showed it was over heating but used  heat gun and was actually 30 degrees cooler than what the guage showed. Put a sticker under the guage saying -30 and have not worryed about it.

Have you checked the radiator for stoppage internally? Is your cooling fan
coming on correctly? In most cases, the alarmstat fails so that the fan should
be on all the time, but you might have some other failure. Another thought:
You could have an instrument failure. Check the engine at the water pump with
an infra red thermometer. Another problem could be a blown head gasket.
