Fuse for generator slideout.
I'm removing the generator to replace the main seal. The slide in/out
quit working. Is the punp fuse protected and where is it located? I know it could still be the micro switch. Art Weatherly Riverside Ca '85 PT36 |

Art- the circuit is protected with a resetting breaker in the floor of the
generator tray beneath the oil dipstick. Power originates from the hot lead on the starter, goes to the breaker, then the micro switches on the tray lever/lock assembly. Then it travels back to a solenoid near the leveling jack pump and directs hydraulic pressure to the extending ram while the pump is running. I can email photos of the mechanism if you need them. It's normally hidden by a protective plate on the front of the genny tray. Found the ckt bkr yesterday when pulling the engine from the tray.
Lead went to the starter solinoid. I had already removed the battery cable from the starter - looks like I found the reason for non-operation. Ernie and Shane thanks for the quick answers. Art Weatherly Riverside Ca '85 PT36 --- In > |
