Check Engine Light, Warning Buzzer, Coach Loses Power
Howdy, Y'all.

Here are the symptoms of our 1993 BB coach's intermittent problem:

THEY HAPPEN RANDOMLY.

Normal start up, driving down the road - the Check Engine light will come on, a warning buzzer sounds, and the coach loses power for about 10- 30 seconds( IT DOES NOT SHUT OFF). All this stops, coach picks up and all is normal. This might happen every 20 minutes for an hour OR might happen once in a day or might not happen for DAYS.

I get really wacky over this because this coach is my home and I think it should perform perfectly.

Any suggestions, fixes, thoughts or solutions for this problem?

Thanks,
Liz

With any type of intermittent electrical problems, I always check for:

1) bad grounds

2) loose connections

3) bad/loose fuses

Good luck chasing it down.

Look for the low coolant sensor being
bad. That was the problem with mine. I shut down in the middle of a
4 lane, not much fun! You can test by jumping the wires. The sensor
is located at the bottom of the coolant reservoir.

Check for a trouble code from the DDEC. That should send you in the right direction.

Liz: Have Jack check all the main battery cabling for an intermittent short.
Could be around the batteries or it could be up at the front going to the
genset.

Thanks so much for the replies.
Thanks @Steve - the low coolant sensor was replaced in 2010. But
certainly worth checking into.

Thanks @ Roger - the code we get is 25 = no code. We even stopped the
coach on the side of the road while this behavior was happening and ran
the engine check, the code was 25.

Thanks @ Ron - I'll tell Jack what you suggested.

This is driving me crazy. Jack is more cool about this than me.
