Bird Sighting
I was shocked to see a nice Bird in the campground in Gilbertsville PA where my
80FC35 is stored. When I was there yesterday morning. I did take the time to know of the door and was greated by a very nice owner who didn't happen to know about the group. Found out his bus was a 96WB42 which he bought new in 97. His name is John Wren and I hope to see him on this group. He will also be needing to talk to the head pooper for he needs a new valve or maybe just parts. Mark, 80FC35 currently in PA [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Bird Sighting
Taking our coach to town today, I spotted another bird headed toward
the coast on HWY 42 S of Roseburg ...it was a nice looking rig towing a boat. First one I've seen in our area...the driver blinked his lights at us. Anyone know who it might have been? This being the anniversary weekend of my little brother's death, I'm taking mom (84) and my grandson for a little getaway along the Oregon coast heading north. I think if he can see us, my brother would be pleased that we are taking his bird out for some 'exercise'. The more I learn the systems and find everything works, I am even more amazed by his wonderful coach. Tonight my grandson helped me figure out the VCR and we found the tv/backup monitor plays color! It looks just black & white for the back up monitor so the color movie took me by surprise.. All systems seems go and we are looking forward to getting out of our rut for a bit. Hope perhaps I'll run into another wanderlodge along our way. I'm glad the folks who came to see the coach earlier this year didn't buy, they missed a good one. Haven't found much of anything that doesn't work (except fuel gauge and cruise control...) I have gleaned a lot of useful information from this site, and feel more confident actually putting the coach to some use.... I feel comfortable driving it (used to pulling a gooseneck horse trailer so that helped) In fact I find driving it a total hoot! This trip tho I plan to keep my speed down a bit. Found it cruised well at 70+ but all this tire talk has me a bit spooked. The tires are only 2 years old but when my oldest brother brought the coach to Oregon he had a steer wheel blow on the passenger side. He managed to keep it on the road but said it was not fun.... thank you everyone for sharing how to's etc. Rose Mary 82 FC 33 SW Oregon |

Rose Mary, we hope you have a good trip. Wish my 84 year old mother would
even step foot in my coach. Maybe she is intimidated by my granite steps? Ernie-83pt40 in montana [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

I saw BB in Hammond La. today , Brown and Tan with a tow parked in a
Dirt Cheap parking lot. they are everywhere. Pat started unpacking Fine Wine today, didn;t realize how much stuff we carry. It is 99 degrees today so about 3:00pm she came in the house for a nap. We will be back at unloading this evening. Can't wait for Fall to get here. Steve and Pat in La 1990 40ft PT 1978 35ft FC |

Bird Sighting
Hi Steve & Pat,
It was our bird you saw. We just returned from a 3 week trip to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons. Although I know Ernie is somewhere up there in Montona enjoying life, we did not come across him. We were enjoying the chinese food and the Dirt Cheap parking lot looked like the place to park. We are certainly hating being back in the 95+ temps. But it is time for kids to go back to school and us get back to work. Our bird performed better than expected. We did have the front A/C blower shut off a couple of times. We were travelling on Genny so I don't think it could be a power issue. We did hear the compressor running but the fan stopped. We powered off the A/C and let set for a few minutes and powered back on and was ok. Does this means we have a low freon problem or was it just that hot? Okay Ernie, 106 today and very sticky, rub it in. We would love to
come to Montana but are having trouble finding a hitch/towbar/trailer for Fine Wine behind the Purple Diva. The fan that turned it'self off may be in need of oil, they may be oil fittings for the bearings at the end of the motor. I am only 25 minutes from you, if you need some help. I can come over. Did you notive a guy with a tee shirt on in the Res. that said "I would rather be in my garage"? Steve & Pat in La. 1990 40 ft PT 1978 35 ft FC (For Sale} |
