RE: Dash Cam
Almost everybody in Russia has a dash cam. They're truly brutal on the streets there. Almost anything goes.

RE: Dash Cam
This one is pretty hi-tech. It has a G sensor (accelerometer) that detects a collision. It also has a capacitor power supply, so presumably in the event of a collision and loss of 12V power, the camera detects the sudden deceleration and writes the last images to flash (or wherever) under capacitive power.

RE: Dash Cam
Looks like a great unit. I wish I had been able to compare it before I bought the Sony
http://store.sony.com/pov-action-cam-zid...Action-Cam I run my Sony whenever underway so G sensor isn't useful to me. The Panorama indicates a few seconds before incident. How would that work and is it enough time in an incident? The sony has stabilization but no built in viewing screen or mph. I have used the large suction mount (optional ) and built in battery and mounted it outside car on crazy roads. Being a small unit, it can be carried/concealed in hand. Yea, I don't care what happens in Russia.
I ride behind a dash cam every day and absolutely despise the invasion. I can't pick my nose or scratch my nads without someone looking. It blows big time. As long as we let technology rule us, we will be controlled. EOS. Besides, why have a camera in your bus? There are cameras on every light pole in town! Leroy A. Eckert Dahlonega, GA |

RE: Dash Cam
An answer to not being controlled by it is to have free access to the source code, which is why I support the Free Software Foundation and Open Source Software.

With all the lawyers advertising about "hit by a big rig", all of us need it to show who is at fault or not at fault. At least that's my reason for having one Steve Gureasko 90 WBSA "Jus Chillin" Ponchatoula, La. |
