Do not shif light on?
Hello,
On our return trip from Mosport on Sunday my transmision would not shift past second gear and the do not shift light is on. We where close to home when this happened so I didn't have to go to far in second gear. I checked the archives and found one post that seemed to have a similar problem but some information is missing. If someone knows of this problem and how to fix it, your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks Andy 88 WB40 Silver Edition Caledon East, Ontario, Canada |

Do not shif light on?
A similar thing happened to me a while back. According to the Allison book,
and it worked for me, turn the motor off (remove power to the trans), and the microprocessor should reset. If it doesn't, I suggest seeking the advice from an Allison center. Do not shif light on?
If it was me, I would call a mobile mechanic Allison tec. a house call
is usualy $50 more, which is $30 less than the fuel to get it in a shop. when a warning light signals a problem and the problem is a faulty warning light then- resetting the computer would be the repair action. If the warning light did infact signal a developing or intermitting problem, now is the time. With all this said I am going to remove the smiley face sticker that I placed to cover the "check engine" light on my Dodge pick up Greg O'Connor 94 pt40 SO California --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, krminyl@a... wrote: > A similar thing happened to me a while back.
