What happen to the M380
Does anyone know what happen to the M380?
Was it poor sales or tech problems? I had a 2003 double slide M380 while waiting for my Prevost to be completed. I enjoyed driving it but had a lot of mech. problems during the year I had it. The slides quit 3-4 times, the jacks wouldn't go down, the tranmission wouldn't go into drive because one of the sensors said slides was out, the outside skin was buckling, etc. The BB techs were great, they told me what wire to cut, which switch to replace, etc. After getting the Prevost, I miss driving the M380. I liked the small size and the ability to go into a grocery store parking lot with out wondering if I had enough room to get out. In looking around, there are no high end 38 footers around. It seems everyone wants 45 ft The BB tech, that I became to know verry well, told me that they were completely redoing the M380 and all the problems with the skin and slideouts were fixed. That was about 6 months ago. I just called the BB dealer and he told me the 380 was discontinued, that BB had 2 on the line. When they were completed the would be no more M380's. I've heard stories that, BB sales are way down and they may drop motorhome's altogether and build just school buses. Does anyone know the true facts? I would hate to buy a new M380 and find out that my BB tech friend gets laid off and have no one to call if the slide got stuck while it was out. Thanks Glenn |
