No longer birdless!
Hey everybody,

Ken & Patti Marsh here. We’ve been “wannabes” for several years and are now
finally able to announce that we have joined the ranks of proud bird owners.
Our 3 year odyssey towards the goal of full-timing after retirement in March of
’07 just took a GIANT leap forward. The house is sold and the bird is bought.
:o)

Here is the link to the bird we just purchased from Mr. Olivers:

http://www.mrolivers.com/website_slot_01_1desc.htm

We especially want to thank Ralph Fullenwider for hot-footing it down to Mr.
Olivers the very next morning after we called him about doing the pre-purchase
inspection for us. He gave her his usual thorough going over (including
sleeping in her overnight and using her wonderful garden-tub shower) and called
us with his verbal report. “This coach has really been taken care of and she is
one of the sweetest ’89 wide bodies I’ve seen.”

Ralph’s quick response and thorough inspection enabled us to move quickly and
close the deal before someone else beat us to her. Thanks Ralph, you dah man!

Her name is ToWanda (any of you who have seen “Fried Green Tomatoes” will
recognize it) and she will be spending this winter @ Ralph & Charlotte’s. This
is so that Ralph and Ernie can do some upgrades and modifications for us over
the course of the winter.

We will be going down to Ralph’s toward the end of October, after Patti has
recovered from knee surgery enough to be able to drive. We will be visiting
with both Ralph and Ernie about our “we want” list for ToWanda. Who knows?
Maybe we’ll get the opportunity to meet a few of the Texas Birds during the week
we will be down there.

In the meantime, we are

Ken & Patti Marsh

Welcome Ken and Patti!

Congratulations! You apparently got a real nice "new to you" 89 PT40,
since Ralph was raving about it to me when he and I talked by phone.

As far as the pending upgrades, Ralph is about the only guy I will let
work on my Bird without me being around to watch.

Hope to see you at a Lone Star Birds event. Check the schedule in the
Files under Rally Information.

Congratulations on your purchase. Several of our Lone Star Birds
members have purchased from Mr. Oliver. You can't go wrong with the
word of Ralph. He and Ernie can do a lot for you. We have a
Holiday Rally down in the Texas Hill Country early December. Why
not try to make that one. It's a great event and is hosted by Mike
and Sue Bulriss.
