Checking In/ Steve and Patti
Good evening everyone, we are safe but are very tried and HOT. We
finally got the tree off the front of the house'thanks to our son
Michael and his heavy equipment. We are living in the new Bus and
using the other Bus for family. We will be taking in about 10 family
members who have lost everything. There houses are under 12 foot of
water, We will help them find housing in our area after we give them
some family healing for several weeks in our home. My neighbor left
in his motor homeand will not come back for 6 weeks so we have his
house to use also. It is like camping the old way, outdoor kitchen,
outside shower, generators to run frig and freezer.

I am in Baton Rouge La, washing everybodies clothes at a friend's
mothers home. I have about 15 loads to do but the nice thing is I got
a hot shower and and not sweating for a change. We found a gas
station that had gas so we filled 9 gas cans. Tomorrow we look for
food products and ice, The ice maker is great but we are working in
the hot sun trying to clean up and it is endless so we are drinking
lots of ice water. Steve is worn out getting the generators rebuilt
and keeping everything going. We would like to leave but we have to
many lose ends, no banking, no post office, no delivery of mail and
strange folks milling about so thanks for the offers but we will stay
home. Steve and Patti

Well God Love you for taking in all the family. I hope your house
was not damaged bad enough to prevent salvage. I know that fuel
will become an issue as well as water. Keep us updated and let us
know what we can do to help.

Patti, Glad to hear you removed the tree from your house. Hope it
didn't do to much damage. If you and Steve need anything, all you
have to do is call or e-mail me or Terri. Terri asked me to tell
both of you hi and to take care of yourself. If you do need to get
out,our place is open to you and your family. We have hook-ups for
the Birds.
Best Wishes,

Still sending a lot of fervent prayers your way, Patti and Steve, for you guys
and your family and for all there in the midst of all that turmoil and
anguish.Bless you for taking care of so many folks! I had CNN on in the
background as I was working yesterday--the stories and images brought me to
tears many times.

You take care, and vaya con Dios!
