EL schematics
Good morning:

Does anyone have the EL schematics for '87 to '93 or so Birds, for the dash
panels?

Safe travels,

Hi Ralph,

I have a complete set of schematics.
This series includes the 1988 WLFC & WLWB.
I just purchased them last year from BB part # 4405205.
In working on my Bird, I have found that some drawings are not
included, But Bennie has always helped me, when I had additional
needs. The "EL drawing" is not included in this set of schematics.

I believe the EL circuit is just 12 VDC through the little blue cube
inverters, and the reostats for brightness control. The trick is to
find all the one inch blue cubes. I have not worked on the EL
circuits. Ours is working fine for now.

Thank you Bill:

I know how they work and the location, I just like having schematics to
find if there are any surprise's coming up to be aware of or any mid point
connections. Old habit of wanting all information available as to the
original way it was laid out, in case there has been, um, unexpected
changes. Technicians all over the world are the same no matter the
language of the land, if there is a knob, we just gotta turn it, be we like
to be sure it is the right knob and how far. LOL

Safe travels,

Yep,
A few of the less knowledge wireing technicians had their hands on
our Bird over the last 15 years.
I feel we have it back to the original wiring now. It just took the
schematics and a lot of detective work. I am happy now and the Bird
is really happy to return to the original designs.
I really wish this Bird could talk.

Mike:

Would it be possible to scan them into a jpeg and send e-mail, if you have
time?

Thanks

Ralph
