Actuator for Swing Down Jack

Curt, Bim Burt and I changed the actuator on my coach. It was a pain as BOTH
those ports must aglign with the jack. The hydraulic fluid flows from those
ports. I believe we used an oversize worm clamp and then tightened it so that
the original clamp could be used. It is best if you swing your jack down and tie
it so that it won't keep trying to kick up. Ernie- 83pt40 in texas

One front swing down leveling jack is leaking oil out the Actuator
bottom cap breather hole. This means the internal seals are leaking. HWH
sent an Actuator. There are two little round things, about a dime or
nickel in size, with o-rings, that fit between the jack and the
actuator. They look to be a PITA to change without removing the jack.
Has anyone changed an Actuator? Can it be done on the vehicle, or should
the entire jack be removed?

No, Curt, not much. But a few shop towels would be a good idea. The actuators
ports can come off, so be careful- thats why they are taped. Ernie- who
learned the hard way in texas
