Anyone had a FC and a PT?

Anyone had a FC and a PT?
Has anyone here had a FC and then upgraded to a PT?

I know the PT is a superior animal, but I am looking for opinions as to
whether the difference is substantial enough to justify the difference
in cost in the units. I have a wonderful FC that doesn't have a thing
wrong with it, but I am intrigued by the PT's (or SP's for that
matter). It looks like to find a PT in the same condition as my FC I
am going to have to spend maybe up to twice as much. That's a big
difference. I am not a full-timer.

Opinions?

Scott, I have a PT and I dont consider it superior. I just never
like Cat. Every year the 90's model years get more affordable and
the early 80's are bottomed out. If you are happy, wait. I saw a
Pristeen 87PT which a friend bought for $35,000. I would love a
FCwith all the chrome and a Cummins M11/10speed Roadranger

Anyone had a FC and a PT?
---RE: FC v. SP We had 77FC33 then went to a 90SP.....Night
and day difference......SP drives like a dream!! Luxurious etc.
But sometimes, I wish I had the extra $100,000 differnce back and my
old BULLETPROOF 77FC33 back..........but then again, the 90SP is
usually always the prettiest and nicest rig in the rv park unless a
newer PT shows up! In summary,......you only get one trip...spend
the money before your kids get it!!!
That's my two cents.
Merry Christmas.

I know that owner of the $35k BB...you could offer him 30+K more, and I
don't think he'd sell. Or would you Curt??

Kevin McKeown
Yorba Linda, CA
1986 PT38 (and I wouldn't sell mine for even 30k more than I paid for it)

Bill, I'll forward him the note but he's one of those rich guys that
updated with new electronics and lcd tv's. My point to Scott was that
I think there are deals out there.

I know Greg, and you are right and that sounds like a heck of a deal.
