FC Power Steering Growls
Eric- my FC did the same thing. I didn't have any other trouble with it, so
believed it was just low rpms. ernie- in haskell, tx [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

FC Power Steering Growls
I've noticed a loud vibration or growl in the power steering unit sometimes when
I'm driving the coach away from a cold start. Growl subsides quickly when engine rpms pick up and then I don't hear it again. Am I running power steering level too low? Air in the system? Appreciate any thoughts on the subject. Eric in San Antonio 84FC35SB |

FC Power Steering Growls
The power steering pump used on FC is some what undersized. As installed by BB,
the plumbing lacks a vent at the reservoir and the low side hose could be a size larger, say -10 as opposed to the -8 OEM. All one can do is ad a vent to the top of the reservoir, keep it full and maintain belt tension. It's not a bad plan to have a spare pump around if you plan on keeping your FC long term.
