FC Power Steering Growls
Eric- my FC did the same thing. I didn't have any other trouble with it, so
believed it was just low rpms. ernie- in haskell, tx

FC Power Steering Growls
I've noticed a loud vibration or growl in the power steering unit sometimes when
I'm driving
the coach away from a cold start. Growl subsides quickly when engine rpms pick
up and
then I don't hear it again. Am I running power steering level too low? Air in
the system?
Appreciate any thoughts on the subject.

The power steering pump used on FC is some what undersized. As installed by BB,
the plumbing lacks a vent at the reservoir and the low side hose could be a size
larger, say -10 as opposed to the -8 OEM. All one can do is ad a vent to the
top of the reservoir, keep it full and maintain belt tension. It's not a bad
plan to have a spare pump around if you plan on keeping your FC long term.
