Need some help to remove the dog house in my 83 FC to be able to adjust
the valves on the 3208 Cat. Have looked in the various Files without
success.
Where do I start and where are the bolts.
Thanks

Kurt,

There are instuctions with photos, I downloaded and printed them out
some time back, before the original wanderlodge.org forum split.
Unfortunately, my hard copy is in the 'Bird 120 miles away...

From memory, you remove the lid from the hinges and there are about
eight or so bolts securing the sidewalls of the doghouse to the
floor between the front seats. You'll have to ease up the edge ofthe
carpet for access to the bolts. I'll look and see if I can find the
file on one or another of the sites.

Kurt,

No joy, I found this reference in the WOO website (posted 12/01/02)
but the link is no longer vailid - the info should be in the files of
one or another of the wanderlodge sites - sorry I can't pinpoint it
for you...

"You will find the procedure for doghouse removal on
groups.yahoo.com/wanderlodge/files/projects/doghouse removal.

You should find strips of carpet approx 2-3" wide around the base of
the doghouse which will pull up exposing the bolts which hold it on
the bottom, Then follow the procedures on the site. Be careful the top
cover is very heavy."

Other posts mentioned both bolts and screws securing the lower portion
of the doghouse, once all are removed some have had to use a crowbar
or prying tool to loosen the lower portion...

Surely someone else has a link or a hard copy of the photos and
directions... C'mon guys, help the fella out!

Kurt,

This link should do the trick, it was posted by John Finn over on the
wanderlodge site:

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/wand...0DOGHOUSE%
20REMOVAL/

There are three pages with photos and detailed instructions.

Good luck!

Bruce,

I searched the WOO links, articles and old posts - only found
some posts on doghouse removal from 12/09/04 and 12/01/02, guess my
search skills still need some work (duh, should have looked under
files)... That must be why the Files link is on the WOO homepage.
I knew the info had to be there somewhere!
